In August 2018, the Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg stopped attending her school classes as a protest due to the insufficient action against global climate change. In just a few weeks her form of protest inspired a massive global movement that strides towards increasing action against the emission of greenhouse gasses before we reach the critical point of 1.5 °C. From February, Macedonia became a part of this movement called #FridaysForFuture. On the youth film festival Giffoni Macedonia, members of the Skopje branch of the movement will share their experiences with climate activism, explain the methods of acting and present their motives for becoming a part of the battle to protect mother nature on a local and global scale.
