Giffoni Movie days in next 10 Satyrdays will ofer films, discussions with filmmakers and actors, worksops and a lot of fun
In the period from April 9 until June 11, every Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM in the Cinematheque of the Republic of Northern Macedonia will be held a film program GIFFONI MOVIE DAYS.
This program is intended for students from all municipalities of the city of Skopje and provides every Saturday to show a European feature film intended for young audiences, followed by a discussion and meeting with a film author or actor. The films cover topics that affect the young generation.
On the first day of the event, will be screening of the film The Voyage of the Prince (Le voyage du prince) which successfully touches on two important topics: the first refers to the prejudices in society and the pursuit to find a place for creativity and free thought. While the second topic refers to the preservation of the environment.
The guest of the meeting will be Leona Jaric, winner of the Green Competition award organized by Europe House. She will present her latest achievement and talk to the young audience about her beginnings in film art and the award-winning professional camera.
This is followed by “FILM CLASSROOM”, a project that the Cinematheque has been organizing for three years now – and is realized under the mentorship of the director Marija Dzidzeva. The “Film Classroom” within the GIFFONY FILM DAYS will be focused on encouraging the creativity of young people who want to tell their short story through audio-visual language close to the new generations. The project is organized by the Cinematheque of the Republic of Northern Macedonia, in cooperation with Planet-M and Giffoni Macedonia.
The films that will emerge from the “Film Classroom” will be screened during the tenth edition of Giffoni Macedonia and together with the films created at the festival will compete for the main prize – a professional camera.
